Post Here Your Memories

No charge - Just Sharing The Love

Saying goodbye to our beloved pet is not easy. Regardless of age or breed, it can be stressful and painful for the whole family. We know that our little friends are more than pets; they are part of the family. We have experienced it firsthand, and there is always that hole in the heart after their departure.

I have had a few requests from some people wanting to place a pet tribute. I have decided to give them this area to place a loving memory of their furry friends. I have placed one for our dog Hushin to show people what it would look like.

One way to pay tribute to them is through this page. Having a space to celebrate them fills us with joy. It makes the complex grieving process easier, especially for children and teenagers.

If you would like to place a tribute, please email a picture in jpeg format and a small tribute to contact@centralfuneralhomes.ca

There is no charge for this service. Please contact me and let me know what you think.

Chipper

 November 1995  February 28, 2011

Chipper, I remember the time I first met you, you were the runt of the family and were so small. You were curled up by the wood stove in your first owners' home. I then knew that you were the one. Chipper was the best dog and friend that you could ever ask for. I thank you for all the unconditional love that you gave to our family. Chipper had exceeded our expectations through her longevity, and with her illnesses. We were very fortunate to be your companion for 15 years. You were such a special part of our lives, and we will never forget that. I cannot believe that you are gone. You were a part of our life for such a long time I cannot imagine what it will be like without you.
My heart just breaks for her but I know she is in a better place. We didn't want her to suffer anymore and the past few days were so hard, even before we knew and had to make the decision. All I know is that it was one of the hardest things that I ever had to do.
But we had to let her go, it would have been selfish to make her suffer anymore. Our house is so quiet right now... But I know it will get easier and our tears will turn into smiles with happy memories. Always thinking of you and waiting until the day when we can be together again. I know that you are with Poppy Wheeler watching over us and especially our son Alex. He loved you dearly. We will cherish all the time we spent together. I know you are still with me and our family in our hearts. You will always be with me baby girl and I will never forget you and your beautiful spirit. Chipper was held tight in my arms during her final moments with the words "I love you" being whispered in her ear over and over again... long after she couldn't hear my words anymore. I know that she is at Rainbow Bridge, pain free, running around, so very happy. I love you so much and I will miss you forever Chipper. God speed my beautiful Chipper Bear ♥

    Chakotay

    1995  2008

Chakotay was a wonderful dog and had the biggest heart that any animal could ever have. He was kind, loyal, caring and just an amazing friend. I was pregnant with my first child during Chakotay's final year on Earth, but that didn't stop me from taking good care of him. I so desperately wanted him to see my child, and he found the strength to grant my wish. For a very brief time, my son got to spend time with my old friend and you could tell they loved each other. Chakotay was so very gentle with Jack, you could tell that he knew the baby was a very special person. Six days after my son's birth, Chakotay's big heart finally stopped beating. He was held tight in my arms during his final moments with the words "I love you" being whispered in his ear over and over again...long after he couldn't hear my words anymore. I know he's at the Rainbow Bridge with his best friend Ikeda. My son has a very special Angel in Heaven, watching over him. I love you so much Chakotay...and i'll miss you forever.

    Hushin

    1990  2002

Hushin was born in January, 1990 in Northern Arm on piece of plywood for shelter. He was from a litter of 6 puppies, with a grand total of 9 dogs by an irresponsible owner. By the time the SPCA was notified, 4 of the puppies had frozen to death, they were able to retrieve 2 of the remaining puppies and 2 other dogs. The mother of the puppies was retrieved at a later date. I kept one of the puppies as it was only 2 days old and needed a lot of care. Most did not think it would survive, but he did, a carnation baby at that, and he considered me his mom. For twelve loving years he was with us. He did not know he was a dog, but considered himself one of us. The last few years of his life, Mike carried him up and down our stairs several times a day. When the time came to say goodbye, he looked at Mike knowing it was time to go, and licked him one last time. We cherished him, such a special friend. A tribute such as this keeps his memory close.
