JEROME K. CLANCE
1956 – 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jerome Kevin Clance announce his passing at his home in Triton on August 15, 2018 at the age of 61. Jerome retired from Maple Leaf Foods. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Elizabeth & Lawrence; sister, Josephine and brothers Leonard and David. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Fey Clance; sisters, Pauline, Rose, Helen and Brenda and brothers, Don and Paul.
Jerome was born in LaScie, NL on September 9, 1956 to Elizabeth and Lawrence Clance. He left home shortly after high school in search of work; he worked for Sherritt Gordon Mines/Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting at Ruttan, Leaf Rapids, MB from September 1977 to closing 2002.
He always said he went looking for his fortune and he found it when he met his future wife!
He married Fey in May of 1978, and lived in Leaf until the mine closed in 2002; together they moved to Brandon where Jerome worked for Maple Leaf Foods before retiring in 2011.
In 2010 they bought a house in Triton, NL, making it their home for the last 8 years.
Jerome and Fey were embraced by the community as one of their own; Jerome enjoyed coffee time and soon found buddies to enjoy his free time with. Jerome was a Heavy Duty Mechanic by trade and soon found things to tinker with and people to share his quick wits and jokes with!
Jerome will be missed by his beautiful smile and his joking ways!
