Obituary for Marie Genevieve Best (Maloney)
And while she lies in peaceful sleep, her memory we shall always keep. Marie (Maloney) Best died peacefully on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility, Corner Brook after a valiant fight with cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through this battle.
Born December 28, 1931, Marie was the daughter of the late James Maloney and Nellie Rideout.
She is predeceased by her husband (Lemuel-2009). She is survived by her four sons: William (Irene), David (Deanne), Terry (Krista) and Clarence (Cindy) and her six daughters: Barbara (Junior) Jones, Madonna (Wilson) Russell, Jeannie (Blaine) Greening, Margaret (Cecil) Mercer, Sandra (Terry) Dalley and Kerryanne (Shannon) O’Brien and grandchildren Monty, Darren, Jody, Nicole, Tessa, Trina, Jerry, Jamie, Marc, Danny, Melissa, Stephanie, Lemuel, Billi, Josh, Jenna, Tyler and Liam, as well as 14 great grandchildren.
She will be waked at St. Anne’s Church in Buchans Junction on Monday, March 7th at 3-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 8th at 11:00 A.M. Pallbearers are; Junior Jones, Wilson Russell, Blaine Greening, Cecil Mercer, Terry Dalley and Shannon O'Brien.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anne’s Church in Buchans Junction. Special Thanks to the staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care Unit.
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
