Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nellie Knight can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

1917 – 2015

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nellie Knight announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on March 20, 2015 at the age of 98. Nellie was a member of the United Church and the Jubilee Guild. She was predeceased by her husband Lemuel Knight, her son Tom, her parents and her 5 brothers. Left with fond and loving memories is her son Howard (Eileen) of Jacksons Cove; daughters-Joy (Harold Batstone) of Jacksons Cove, Willow (Allan Kelley-deceased) of Corner Brook and Shirley (Denzel D’Mello) of London, On. Also leaving to mourn is her sister Winifred, 10 grandchildren-Lorraine, Dean, Neil, Anita, Timothy, Larry, Jimmy, Sally, Chris, Trevor; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Rev. Sharon Earle Marshall conducted the funeral service from the United Church in Jacksons Cove on Sunday, March 22, 2015. Interment was at the United Cemetery in Jacksons Cove. Pallbearers were Selby Knight, Chester Batstone, Fred Norman, Ross Osmond, Terry Kelley and Barry Noble. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
