September 20, 1923 – July 23, 2015
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rose Lane (Hennessey) announce her passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Care Centre in Buchans, NL, on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the age of 91 years. Rose died peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Rose is predeceased by her husband, Angus, as well as her parents- Thomas and Mary Hennessey, 7 brothers- Michael, Edward, Thomas, Patrick, John, William, and Cyril, 8 sisters- Agnes, Mary, Belle, Florence, Pauline, Eileen, Josephine, Myrtis, and son-in-law Art Fredericks.
Left with loving memories are son Brian of Buchans, NL, daughters, Shirley (Doug Higdon) of Brampton, ON, Joan (Derm Collins) of Kitchener, ON, Judy (Don Kennedy) of Kitchener, ON, Elizabeth (Jerome Moore) of Buchans, NL, Patricia (Art Fredericks- deceased) of Kitchener, ON, Paula (Roy Peterson) of Kitchener, ON, and Maureen (Andy Fillier) of Gananoque, ON. Rose also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, who will cherish memories of their Nan.
Father Anselmo Landoy and Father Michael Barker will conduct the funeral service at St. Theresa’s Church in Buchans, on Monday, July 27, 2015, at 11am. Internment will take place at the Buchans Community Cemetery. Pallbearers are Doug Higdon, Derm Collins, Don Kennedy, Jerome Moore, Roy Peterson, Andy Fillier, and honorary pallbearer, Paul Ballard.
Visitation will take place on Saturday July 25: 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00, with the Rosary at 7:00 and Sunday, July 26, 2015: 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00, with the Wake Service at 7:30
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Jim Maidement of Central Funeral Homes.
Donations in Rose’s memory may be made St. Theresa’s Church in Buchans.
