I can’t say enough good things about Madeline. She was a wonderful person. I can remember her from my teenage years going in to Riffs Department store, she was always so nice. When she started working at North Atlantic in Springdale I started seeing her again. This time my son also met her. I can honestly say that he developed a love for Madeline…..we live in Grand Falls-Windsor so he only got to see her on weekends for those few minutes in the store. He always had big loves for her. She always bought a treat for him and eventually all the other girls carried on that practice when Madeline wasn’t there. However it was different with Madeline. Ever since she went off sick he has lost his interest in the store. If I stop and go in which I often do, he will ask me if Madeline is in today and when I say no he just gets sad. Christmas time he asked where her stocking on the wall was as he seen the girls names but not hers. Last weekend I told him I wasn’t sure if Madeline would be back to work because she is very sick. And then just this week….probably one of the harder things I’ve ever have had to do is tell my 5 year old that Madeline is gone to heave to be with God. He’s 5 years old so he doesn’t quite understand the concept of death but he does understand that he won’t see her anymore. I told him that one day he will see her again but for now she will be one of his guardian angels watching over and protecting him from heaven. The point of this story is that Madeline was such a beautiful person that she even gained the love of a 5 year old child that only spent a few minutes with her each week. I don’t know what that says to you but to me that shows that her spirit was nothing but goodness and I love her dearly for showing such love to a little boy when she didn’t have to. There are good people in this world and Madeline was definitely one of the better ones and will truly be missed. Here is a little verse for her daughters Amanda and Roxanne There will be times when life seems so unfair, things happen sometimes that we feel we cannot bear…. It’s those times you can lean on one another you’ll always have glorious memories of a wonderful mother. She will always be with you her presence will be felt all around. An angel in heaven sending her love to the ground. It may come in rain drops, wind or snow or just a warm feeling when outside is so cold. A love undeniable, pure and so strong, It will be with you forever for a mothers love is never gone. I have no doubt that you girls are just as great as your mother…….my heart goes out to you both and to your whole family. With Love, Chrissy & Jack

So very sorry to hear about Madeline. No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind. But take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in peace. My deepest condolences to you Len and the girls. She will be in my prayers always.
