The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ronald McKelvie can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Sarah Matton

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to Bop. It is with great pride that I had the honour of being his only granddaughter. His sense of humour was like no other. He taught me how to laugh at myself. Sometimes he would laugh with me, other times he would laugh at me. He taught me to bait a hook, ride a quad, sleep outdoors and be fearless. He supported me and encouraged me to follow my dreams. I never saw him without a book. He was always discovering his latest read or playing a new mind game. He was brilliant and his mind was sharp right to the end. I will always remember my time with him at the cabin just the two of us. He was incredibly special to me and I will miss him so much. He will always have a place in my heart. Whenever I am in a forest or surrounded by nature, I will think of Bop.
