The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Andre Walsh can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Smoking in the shed.

One time , Vince, Andre, Gus, Leonard Phair & I didn't have any smokes. We new there was nowhere for us to get any so I told Andre to go in the house & steal Drandra's pipe. Andre looked at me & said " Carmel, I can't do that " I said " Andre get in the house & on your way out bring out the cake your mother baked today " When he came back out, he had a delicious chocolate cake, Drandra's pipe & a pack of tobacco.  We polished of the cake with no forks, spoons or a knife . We could always depend on Andre to get us a good smoke & a great chocolate cake.

Another day, Vince, Leonard , Andre, Gus , me & I  am sure Joe was there . Vince told Andre to go in the house & bring back Drandra's pipe, some eggs , matches & a frying pan.  Andre returned with everything & Vince lit a fire in the Cole pound  with the shutter window open. He was frying the eggs while we were enjoying the pipe & when I looked dad was looking in the shutter at us.  One look from him & we ran out of there so fast we didn't know what hit us. When we got home we blamed everything on Andre saying he made us smoke the pipe & light the fire.  I am sure dad didn't believe us but we stuck to our story but our punishmet wasn't any lighter.
