It is with great sadness that the family of the late John MacDonald (Johnny Mac) O’Brien announce his passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 3, 2015 at the age of 49. Johnny Mac was a participant in the Special Olympics. He was predeceased by his father, John; mother, Blanche MacDonald; and, brother, Paul. Left with fond and loving memories are his brothers, George (Louise) of Gander, NL and Gerry (Betsy) of Gander, NL; sister, Denise of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; sister-in-law, Helen of Buchans, NL. Also leaving to mourn are nine nephews and nieces, one great niece and special caregivers Ruth Hunter and family.

Father William Hearn will conduct the funeral service at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. Pallbearers are Gerry O'Brien, George O'Brien, Robert Freake, Cody Freake, Mike O'Brien, and Tom O'Brien. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
