1946 – 2015
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elmo David Bowers announce his passing at the Springdale Hospital in Springdale on May 7, 2015 at the age of 69. Elmo retired from labor work. He was predeceased by his mother Annie, father John, sisters Betty and Marie and brothers Pearce and Raymond. Left with fond and loving memories is his spouse Sadie of Springdale, son Dean of Nova Scotia and daughter Kay of New Brunswick. Also leaving to mourn are his sister Shirley, brother Cyril and grandchildren Tommy, Kiefer, Samantha and Nikita. Majors Collin & Jacqueline Abbott will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on Monday, May 11, 2015. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers are Cyril Bowers (brother), Calvin Whalen (Friend), Irvine Rowsell (Nephew), Amos Heath (Friend), Augustus Rideout (Friend) and Ford Young (Friend). Honorary pallbearer is Rex Bartlett (Nephew). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
