The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Myrtis Knight can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

MYRTIS DORIS KNIGHT
1929 – 2015

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myrtis Doris Knight announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale on August 15, 2015 at the age of 85. Myrtis was a member of the Ladies Orange Benevolent Assoc. and the UCW. She was predeceased by her parents Winnie & Warrick Shiner; sisters-Blanche Penney (Adam), Eileen Young (David), Ivy Shiner; and brother, Leander Shiner. Left with fond and loving memories is her husband Harry; son, Ralph of Jackson’s Cove; daughters-Nola Knight (Paul) of South Brook and Donna Upward (Geoffrey) of Silverdale. Also leaving to mourn are grandchildren-Natasha (Cody), Tristen, Heather, and brother-in-law Cyril Shiner. Rev. Sharon Earle-Marshall will conduct the funeral service from Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Interment will be at the United Cemetery in Jackson’s Cove. Pallbearers are Nola Knight, Paul Knight, Ralph Knight, Heather Warford, Geoffrey Upward and Bessie Welshman. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
