Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Phyllis Wicks can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis C. Wicks announce her passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Center in Buchans on March 10, 2016 at the age of 88. Phyllis was a member of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church and the Church Choir. Phyllis is predeceased by her husband; George Charles (February 28, 1974). Left with fond and loving memories are her loving family, sons; Glenn of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Kirk of St. John’s, NL, and George (Linda) of Port Coquitlam, BC, and daughter; Fran (Bill Hart) of Vernon, BC. Also leaving to mourn are sister; Edna Luther of Lecanto, FL, sister-in-law; Edith Pickford of Buchans, NL, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, ten nephews and nieces, and a lifetime of friends in Grand Falls-Windsor and elsewhere. Reverend Randy Lockyer will conduct the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Saturday, April 2,2016 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Anglican Cemetery. Reception will follow at the hall of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Phyllis’ memory to the Holy Trinity Church Memorial Fund. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.

The family wishes to express their eternal gratitude to the staff at Hollett’s Retirement Home, the staff at A.M. Guy Memorial Hospital, the staff at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center, Jim Maidment and the staff of Central Funeral Homes, and all others assisting us at this time.
