GARY MOORS MACDONALD
February 4, 1949 - October 5, 2015

MacDonald, Gary Moors - Passed peacefully away in Grand Falls - Windsor surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, October 5, 2015, age 66. He is predeceased by his father, Watson in1988, mother Ruby in 2014, brother Keith in 2001, and infant son Donald in1980. Left with fond and loving memories are beloved wife of 41 years Edna, “Daddy’s Girl” daughter Heather Saulnier and husband Adam, “Poppy’s Girl” granddaughter Kaitlyn, sister Judy Burton, aunt June Bowden, and mother-in-law, Ruby Gilbert. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of family, friends, co-workers and his Tim Horton Coffee Buds at “the office”. Gary was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and Toastmasters, as well as, a past member of many community organizations. Gary retired from CBC radio after many enjoyable years doing the job he loved. Thank you to the staff of Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre for their care and compassion during Gary’s illness. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at Central Funeral Home, 45 Union Street. Funeral will take place at Memorial United Church, 13 Church Road, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11am. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Gary’s memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
