It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vera Frances Lannon announce her passing at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s on March 29, 2016 at the age of 83.Vera was a member of the Catholic Alter Society in Buchans for 35 years. She is predeceased by husband, Samuel; daughter, Frances; parents, Patrick and Mary Walsh; sister, Loretta; and brothers, Jim, Tom and William. Vera leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories sons, Sam (Elizabeth) of Mount Pearl, NL, Gerard (Genny) of Stephenville, NL, Matthew (Myra) of Labrador City, Patrick (Dianne) of Sussex, NB, and Raymond (Heather) of Paradise, NL; daughters, Marion (Alvin) of Buchans, NL, Vera (Sam) of Wabush, NL, Ann Marie (Craig) of Paradise, NL, and Christine (Gary) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn Sharmaine, Christine, Charlene, Andrew, Patrick, Jordan, Melissa, Jodi lynn, Sasha, Steven, Stacey, Justin, Chantal, Jonathon, Jeffrey, Markus, and Trevor, great-grandchildren, Emma, Sam, Bryden, Brooklyn, Brody, Jesslyn, Jaxen, Reese, Rowyn, Kyle, and Colby. Father Joseph Hanson-Mensah will conduct the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Church in Bishop’s Falls on April 2, 2016. Interment will be at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons; Trevor Hicks, Markus Hicks, Patrick Lannon, Jonathon Reid, Justin Andrews and Steven Lannon. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
