Obituary for Norman Hayward Short

Norman Hayward Short
Norman Hayward Short of Robert's Arm Passed peacefully away on April 19,2016. He was born in Jerry's Harbour on September 21,1936 to the late Henry and Pearl Short. Left to cherish his memories are his love, Alice; his children, Dean (Jewel), Sherry (Sean), Allison (Don), Keith and Raymond. His grandchildren, Chad, Christopher, Jeremy, Megan, Maddison, Jessica and Zachary and his 6 great-grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and his many friends.
He loved nature and after retiring from mining he settled back to his hometown of Robert's Arm where he lived a fulfilling life doing what he loved to do most "everything outdoors" including fishing, hunting, and in the woods. He was a hard worker and would never take the easy way out. His grandchildren whom he loved dearly knew him well for his "homemade tools" and spent many hours fishing from his wharf.
At Norm's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be scattered in Jerry's Harbour .
A time of remembering for family and friends will be held at 6 Centennial Avenue, Grand Falls Windsor on Monday, April 25,2016 from 2 - 4 PM.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
