October 7, 1948 - April 24, 2016
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Derek Pike, aged 67 years, passed peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by his loved ones. Predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Winifred Pike; sister, Brenda Pike; and nephew, Christopher Budgell. Leaving with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend of 44 years, Marion; daughter, Jennifer and husband Arthur Farr; granddaughter, Isabella Mae; sister, Dianne and her husband Warren Stedman; brother, Barry Pike; and brother-in-law, John Burry; nephew and nieces;Stephen Budgell and family; Matthew and family; Cheryl Budgell and partner Tim Worth; and Melanie Pike and family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
The family would like to extend a special thanks-you to Dave, Gillian, Joan, Roger, and Beth, and to a large circle of family and friends, as well as the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome any donations in Derek’s memory to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy, Cancer Clinic.
