It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald John Ennis announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on August 8, 2016 at the age of 70. Ron was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Grand Falls-Windsor, served on various Town Councils, and a community leader. Ron retired from Robinson-Blackmore-Optipress-Transcontinental Group in 2009. He is predeceased by his father, Charles Ennis; and his mother, Marion (McLaughlan) Ennis. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Delores; sons, Oliver, of Calgary; and John, of Grand Falls-Windsor; daughters, Candice (Tony Williams) of St. Johns; Wendy (O’Delle Burke) of Hong Kong; and Christina (Ralph Ennis-Davis) of Edmonton. Also leaving to mourn, sisters; Joan, Anne, Marion, Marg, and Mary, brothers; Mike, David, Charlie, John, Sean, and Robert, grandchildren; Alex, Ava, Kaleb, Owen, Sophia, and Olivia, and special friends; Len Penney, Gary Grant, Roger Pike, Andy Barker, Dr. Don Hodder, Don Pelley, and Gord Parsons. Father Joseph Uy and Father Eugene Morris will conduct the funeral service at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on August 12, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Bishop’s Falls on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Pallbearers are Len Penney, John Ennis, Oliver Ennis, Tony Williams, Alex Williams, and Sean Ennis. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
