It is with great sadness that the family of the late Betty Pomeroy (Cooke) announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on September 28, 2016 at the age of 65. She is predeceased by her father, William Cooke; and her mother, Isabelle Cooke. Betty leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Art Pomeroy; sons, Dwayne Mitchell (Jennifer) of Athabasca, AB; Chad Mitchell (Kelly) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; and Cory Mitchell (Jennifer) of Paradise, NL; brothers and sisters, Tony Cooke (Diane), Terry Cook, Jim Cooke (Linda), Madeline Dunphy (Ray), Harold Cooke (Lillian), Donnie Cooke (Donna);and grandchildren, Kayden and Kylie; Also leaving to mourn is sister-in-law and very special friend, Dona Mitchell; and the extended Mitchell and Pomeroy families, as well as a large circle of friends and extended family. Majors Larry and Judy Goudie will conduct the funeral service at the Park Street Salvation Army. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Caribou Road. Pallbearers are Cory Mitchell, Chad Mitchell, Dwayne Mitchell, and Art Pomeroy. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
