HARVEY A. SIMMS
1940 – 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey Andrew Simms announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on May 7, 2017 at the age of 76. Harvey retired from Hope Brook Mines. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew & Sarah Simms; brothers-Fred, Gilbert, Ernest, Jim and Reuben; sisters-Audrey, Gertie and Lucy. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Doris and two daughters-Dianne Knight (Roger) and Michelle Stone (Peter). Also leaving to mourn are his siblings-Doug (Audrey), Marjorie Meyer, Irene (Ford), Sadie (Howard), Freeman (Stella), Bernice (Winston), Scott (Sheila), Ivy (Austin) and Neil (Vida); grandchildren-Adam, Mattea and Cassandra(Chris); great grandchildren-Jordyn and Jayce as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rev. Graham Cook will conduct the funeral service from the Grace United Church in Springdale on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 2:30 pm. Interment will be at the United Cemetery on Cherry Crescent. Pallbearers are Scott, Peter, Roger, Adam, Denise and Paul. Honorary pallbearers are Mattea and Cassandra. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
