MARTIN WILLIS SHEPPARD
1939 – 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martin W. Sheppard announce his passing at his home in Sheppardville on November 6, 2017 at the age of 78. Martin was a member of the Sheppardville United Church. He was a devoted husband, father/grandfather as well as a pillar of the church and community. Martin was predeceased by his parents, Robert & Carrie; brothers-Leander, Lewis, Hutley and Allan; sisters-Elsie and Gloria; son Wilfred and granddaughters-Jennifer and Jessica. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Maxine; sons-Terry (Denise) of Fort St. John, BC, Paul (Lorna) of Sheppardville and Alfred (Kimberly) also of Sheppardville; daughters-Elsie (Barbara) of St. John’s, Rowena (Harry) of Sheppardville, Roxanne (Glen) of Robert’s Arm and Loretta (Rocky) of Sheppardville. Also leaving to mourn are grandchildren-Dean (Brittany), Darryl (Christa), David (Antonia), Devon, Daniel (Shaumini), Dana (Jason), Thomas, Rochelle (Kayla), Rosalind (Glen), Rhonda, Alicia, Nicholas (Selena), Kenneth, Yvonne (Eric), Maria and Dylan; great grandchildren-Jason, Karli, Kaeden, Danni, Cami, Staci, Dean, Bailey, Evan, Tamara, Ryan, Jacob, Logan and Braydon; 2 sisters-Marjorie (Robert) and Jean (Cornelius) as well as a wide circle of family and friends. Rev. Rachel Robinson will conduct the funeral service from the United Church in Sheppardville on Friday, November 10 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the United Cemetery in Sheppardville. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
