WILFRED COLBOURNE
1925 – 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Raymond Colbourne announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on November 9, 2017 at the age of 92. Wilfred was predeceased by his wife Frances Colbourne and son Kurt Colbourne. Left with fond and loving memories is his sons-Dennis (Wavey) of St. Patrick’s, Gerald (Eileen) of Brampton, Peter (Marina) of Campbell’s Creek, Sean (Annette) of Brampton; daughters-Bernice (John Woodrow) of Bay De Verde, Geraldine (Bob Benoit) of Brampton, Bernadette (Clyde Hyde) of Red Head Cove and Lorraine of St. Patrick’s. Also leaving to mourn is his brother- Robert Colbourne; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild as well as many other relatives and friends. Rev. Madonna Boone will conduct the funeral service from the Anglican Church in Springdale on Sunday, November 12 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Anglican Cemetery in Coffee Cove. Pallbearers are Greg Mercer, Max Osmond, Ken Colbourne, Joe Colbourne, Alvin King and Jerome Terry. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
