It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our awesome mother, Amanda Constable. After a brief, brave, and fearsome fight with cancer, she passed peacefully away with family at her side in the palliative care of the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on January 9th, 2018.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Constable, her Son James Constable (Suzie Lalonde), and her daughters Susan Constable (Robert Cooper) and Tracey Constable (Leonard Green). This best Nanny in the world, has five grandchildren, Thomas Constable, Keira Constable, Stephanie Cooper Constable, Dylan Cooper Constable, Callum Peterson, and one great-grandchild, Archer Constable. She is also survived by her brothers, Stan Temple (Edna) and Jim Temple (Mary). She was a wonderful Aunt to Cristopher Temple (Joan), Shelia Temple(deceased)(Scott), Denise Hillier (Ray), Debbie Penton (Pierce), and Dorthy Temple. Mom had many many wonderful friends and acquaintances throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed a rich, wonderful life full of adventures and laughter. During her career as a nurse at the Central Newfoundland Hospital, she was known for her compassionate nature and her sense of humor. Her strength of character was evident to everyone she met. She loved to paint beautiful Newfoundland seascapes, loved flowers and gardening, she was always up for any adventure and adored anything that was colorful and bright.. She was fiercely protective of her family. Always supported her children in their endeavors, and would do anything in the world for her grandchildren, she often said, “they are the light of my life, because they are a reflection of my children.”
