Harvey John Blackler
September 14, 1927 — July 13, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey John Blackler of Springdale, NL announces his passing on Friday July 13, 2018 at the Valley Vista Seniors Home at the age of 90.
Harvey was born in Springdale to Augustus & Elsie Blackler on September 14, 1927.
He was one of nine children. He married Meta Bridger on June 20, 1955
He is predeceased by his daughters- June & Janice: parents- Agustus & Elsie; in laws-Gideon & Lucy Bridger; sisters-Joyce, Marm and Phyllis; brothers- Harold and France; brother in laws- Roy and Eric Bridger; sister in law- Audrey Fudge.
Harvey worked with the Dept. of Highways until his retirement at the age of 60.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife-Meta; daughters- Golda (Lud Randell), Dana (Lee Young) both of Springdale, sons- Wade (Brenda Blackler) of Winnipeg, Kurt (Karen Blackler), Randy (Shirl Blackler) both of Springdale. Also he leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren; brother- Roy (Violet Blackler); sisters- Wilma (Charlie Philpott), Marge (Leo Sweeney) plus a large circle of family and friends.
