Uncle Mike

Uncle Mike and Aunt Marg were the first family members I met when meeting my husband John's family and they both made me feel so welcome and part of the family. I remember the sit down dinner at 1:30am on this first visit and Mike making me laugh so much that my face hurt afterwards. I looked forward to every visit thereafter eagerly, as I never wanted to miss an opportunity to laugh and be part of such a great family. Uncle Mike really made it so. I will miss him greatly.

A few years later, I told my brother Jason all about Uncle Mike and his laughter generating stories, jokes and antics before he went with John on his first ever hunting trip. He just had to meet him!  Mike made it memorable for him and he truly learned a lot about hunting and to have fun in life. He still talks of the trip and of Uncle Mike fondly to this day, years later.

Uncle Mike treated me like family right from the start and I will never forget that. I will truly miss him. I'm so sad and sorry that he has gone. Aunt Marg, I love you, too and my sincere condolences are with you and the rest of the family.

With my loving thoughts in your time of sorrow,

Leigh.
