ELVA HELLEN ANSTEY (WELLS)
1923 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elva Hellen Anstey announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on June 20, 2018 at the age of 94. Elva was a member of the Salvation Army, League of Mercy, Home League and Girl Guides of Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Chesley; son Brian and son-in-law Ivan Giles. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons-Kevin (Joanne) of Sudbury, ON, Scott (Justina) of Springdale, Wayne (Naida) of Sudbury, ON; daughters-Jennie Mouland (Ralph) of Sudbury, ON, Bonnie Taylor (Raymond) of Grand Falls-Windsor and Betty Giles of Sudbury, ON. Also leaving to mourn are 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Majors Wycliffe & Shirley Reid will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Springdale. Pallbearers are Wayne Anstey, Pauline Butt, Peter Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Kenneth Butt and Raymond Taylor. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
