Obituary

Dorothy May Goulding (Adams)
October 5, 1925 - October 28, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy May Goulding (Adams) announces her passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on October 28 at the age of 95. Dorothy worked along side her husband, Milton for several years in their Nursery business. Her love for gardening was obvious to everyone who witnessed the endless hours she spent in her flower and vegetable gardens. She would often spend the late evening hours, when it was too dark to work outside, bottling fruit and vegetables that she harvested earlier that day. She also enjoyed the company of family and friends, especially if it was around her table sharing stories over a wonderful lunch or meal that she had prepared. Her 4 grandchildren were a constant source of pride and joy. She cherished every moment spent with them. Dorothy was a Life Member of The United Church Women. She was predeceased by her loving husband Milton, parents Robert and Clemmie Adams and dear, special friend Donald Braye. Left to mourn are son, Robert Goulding (Kay) of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, daughter, Dale McNutt (Eric) of Truro, Nova Scotia and grandchildren, Stephen Goulding of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Jennifer Goulding of Roddickton, Brandon McNutt (Megan) of Truro, and Ethan McNutt of Truro, great-granddaughter Maia McNutt of Truro, sister, Vivian Hurley (Adams) formerly of Lewisporte now residing in Gander, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be held for family and invited friends only. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in her memory to the Parkinsons Society of NL. Pallbearers are Brandon McNutt, Ethan McNutt, Bill Rideout, and Jeff Braye. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.

Dale, Bob and family. So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I meet Dorothy about 3 years ago, i will remember her beautiful smile, the chats we had about years ago when she was younger and her love for gardening. She loved having her nails done and making sure her lipstick was on. Fly high with the Angels beautiful lady. RIP God Bless

To Dale and the Goulding Family;
We are saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy. We remember her as a very dignified lady with a pleasant smile and a good word for everyone. I ,Shirley, have many fond recollections of her involvement in the work of the United Church Women of Memorial United Church from when we lived in GFW. May your treasured family memories of her give you strength through this time of grief and in the days ahead.

To The Goulding family,
So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I had the privilege to care for her when she was at Hollett's. I would curl her hair, get her lipstick for her and make sure she had her jewelry on. She was such a sweet lady. I will always cherish our special bond we had. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. HUGS
