EDWARD CHARLES GREEN
1920 – 2011
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mr. Edward Charles Green announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on April 15, 2011 at the age of 90. Edward was a member of the Salvation Army. Edward retired from Abitibi Price. Predeceased by parents, Chesley & Martha Green; sister Eileen Gilley; brothers Clayton, Roy; and sister-in-law Sadie. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Nellie; sons: Bryan (Sharon) of Springdale, Bobby Green - grandson as son (Samantha) of Labrador City; daughters: Wavey (Eric) of Burlington, Evelyn (George) of Burlington, Pansy (Bud) of Sparwood, BC, Shirley (Otto) of Miles Cove, Daisy (Bob) of Tumbler Ridge, BC, Betty (Bruce) of Springdale, Roxanne and Tina of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn brother Whitfield (Betty) of Toronto, brother-in-law Philip Gilley of Deer Lake, sister-in-law Joycelynn Green of Burlington; 21 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Gerald & Doreen Lacey conducted the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on April 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bryan Green, Kurt Green, Bobby Green, Scottie Green, Rodney Newbury, Bradley Butt, Blair Butt, Scottie McCarthy and Steven Penney. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
