Obituary for Elva Lorriane Greenham

Elva was born in Summerford on October 24, 1962, to Victor & Ruby Troake, one of seven children. On March 28, 1981 she married Gary Greenham of Twillingate, NL, and together they raised three sons, Keith, Kevin & Kent. Elva was a very kind, loving wife and mother. She loved her boys very much. She was a kind, loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and daughter-in-law. Elva was loved by everyone. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for her family and friends. There was no challenge too big or too small that she wouldn't try. She completed a hair dressing course, and would do hair styling in her spare time. Elva was a very dedicated home care worker to Roy Jenkins. Roy just adored her. Some times on her days off, Roy would call and tell Elva to come home. She will be greatly missed by Roy and her co-workers. Elva will be sadly missed by all her family. She was one in a million. She loved to laugh, joke, and sing, she was always making other people laugh. Elva will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, and her smiles. We, her family, will not think of her as just gone away, but we believe that her journey has just begun. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Gary, three sons Keith, Kevin & Kent. Parents Victor & Ruby Troake, four sisters, Judy (Donald), Nola Parsons, Ina (Keith), Georgina (Tony) and two brothers, Lewis (Yvonne) and Eric (Merina). And a large circle of Nieces, Nephews, family and friends, including a loving mother & father-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Fred Greenham. Pastor Albert Parmenter conducted funeral services at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Twillingate on January 30, 2004.
