The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Marjorie Janes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

I found out today that Nan had passed away and since I am not able to make it up there for her funeral I felt that I should write a short message as a tribute to her. The time I spent with my Nan Janes I will never forget. I remember spending time with her in the summers as a kid, and the time I spent with her as a young adult are some of my best memories. Nan always offered me advice that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I learned many things from the time I spent with Nan. One of the greatest things I learned from my grandmother was to have patience. Another thing she taught me to have was to lend an open ear to those who need a listener and friend. Nan is one of the only people that I can say that I have never heard them say anything bad about anyone which speaks loudly about who she was in life. Nan also had a great sense of humor which I sometimes laugh thinking of the hilarious stories she told me. I will miss my grandmother dearly, and although I am with my husband and our 2 year old son in Texas and will not be able to make Nan’s funeral, we will be there with my family in heart.
