Verna Dorothy Morris
1929 - 2011

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verna Morris (nee Noftall) announce her passing at the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor on June 23, 2011 at the age of 82. Verna retired from Nfld. Telephone Company. Predeceased by her husband James; infant daughter Megan; and brother George Noftall. Verna leaves with fond and loving memories sons Ralph (Elizabeth) of Oakville, ON; Jim (Judy) of Montreal, Que, daughters Laura (Dean) Williams of Topsail, NL; Ann (Jim) Gillard of Rosemere, Que; Judy (Overton) Colbourne of Corner Brook, NL, grandchildren Christina (Ben) Perry of the UK.; David Morris of ON; Jamie Morris of Que; Melanie (Gabriel) Toubian of Que; Megan, Robert, and Brian Williams of Topsail; Joshua and Simon Gillard, both of Que; Jill Colbourne of St. John’s; Ian Colbourne of Corner Brook; great-grandson Adam Toubian of Que. Also leaving to mourn are her loving sisters Janice Walsh; Barbara Hillier; Judy Rowsell; and brother Clar Noftall, along with a large circle of extended family and friends. A funeral service was held at Central Funeral Homes Chapel on Thursday, June 30th at 10a.m. with Rev. Royden Reynolds officiating.
