1952-2015
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Carey announce his passing at Central Health in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on August 8, 2015, at the age of 63. He was a member of the Bishop’s Falls Fire Dept. For 40 yrs, Knights of Columbus, Lion’s Club, Food Bank, and School Breakfast Program. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Mary (nee Lyver), and infant brother John. Wilf leaves to mourn his daughter Amanda, brothers and sister Gerard (Anne) of Winden, Germany, Thomas (Marilyn) of Bishop’s Falls, Rosalie Fancey (Kevin) of St. John’s, Gus (Colleen) of Corner Brook, and Allan (Janet) of Bishop’s Falls. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of family and friends. Pallbearers are family and firefighters of Bishop's Falls Fire Dept, Jamie Carey, Nicholas Carey, Hedley Harnum, Wendell Ball, Steve Glavine and Dan Oldford. Father Joe Hanson will conduct the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
