Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Wilfred Carey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Brian Carey

Wilf, you were more than a relative, you were a good friend, and we will all miss you. In my many, many visits to Bishop’s there were very few times I did not stop by for a visit. I always felt welcomed. Over the years, as relatives have passed on, you made sure our every need was attended to in your role with Central Funeral Homes. When dad passed on three years ago you were there and, while officially retired, took personal charge of ensuring that the family of a close relative of yours had everything they needed. As we were attempting to get through those rough days, when a question came up you responded the same way each time, “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of it.” At Aunt Rosalie’s service in January 2014 you were not well and never seemed to fully recover. Yet, you summoned the strength you had to attend and pay your respects. Amanda, Gerard & Anne, Tom & Marylyn, Rose & Kevin, Gus & Colleen, Allan & Janet, Carolyn, Jason, Jeff, Darren, Patrick, Nick, Danny & Amy. I am truly sorry for your loss. I considered Wilf to be a fine man and my thoughts are very much with you, and your families, right now. Requiescat in pace, my friend.
