Words cannot express my sadness at Ruby's passing,I have many treasured memories of her.We grew up together on Little Bay Islands,and over the years became best friends.We lost touch after she moved left the island,but I never forgot the sweet,kind hearted person she was,I have spoken of her many times to my daughters,remembering her always with love.

I don't think she ever told a child that they didn't have enough money to get what they wanted. Everyone loved her.She always greeted you with a smile and made everyone feel special. So very saddened by the passing of Ruby! She was a good friend of my Mom and Dad and we all spent many a weekend at the cabin years ago. Ruby was always cheerful and funny... A real good sport and nice person to be around.
I remember distinctly one sunny winter day outside the cabin while enjoying an open fire when no one was really saying much.... Ruby decided to break the silence with song..... "When the moon hits your eye like a biga pizza pie, that's amoree". Scott couldn't resist but to chime in! That's one of my fondest memories of Ruby. I will cherish it. Gone but not forgotten... See you in Heaven Ruby!!!
