I got to know Cathy during her many, many visits to the campus library. She would only stay for the briefest of chats before running back to class in the fear that she was missing something important! A few years ago, my husband and I would often see Cathy walking to school so we would stop to offer her a ride. How many times did she say, "no, I'm really enjoying the fresh air". Only on the most stormiest and blustery days would she accept a ride and then she would profusely thank us for our kindness. I often told her that I called her the energizer bunny because she was always on the go. She walked with such quick pace that you would see her one minute and then she would be gone! I will miss that energy, her determination but mostly, I will miss her smile!
