A sad goodbye
Maddy Antle was my best buddy for as long as I have memories. There were years of weekends where I was at her house or she was at mine. We may as well have been sisters. The Antle family became a part of my family, and I hope, I became a part of theirs. It felt that way.
I remember lots of nights in front of a campfire, weekends at a cabin, and the beautiful smile Mr Antle wore every day I saw him.
I remember one time when Mr. Antle took Maddy and I ice fishing. We were bundled up, on the ice, pulling smelt after smelt from the cold depths. Squealing and laughing with each floppy catch. All the while Mr Antle stood by, laughing at our girlish reactions and teaching us a little something about the craft.
He will be forever loved, and forever missed.
