I love you Jelly Bird

Today at the age of 26 I have finally come to the stubborned and ever denying, realization that "all great things must come to an end". My Nan, whom helped raise my sister and I, was lifted to the great gates of heaven today, to finally reunite with the love of her life, my grandfather, Eric. As we all know she lived every single day to the fullest, blessing all around her with her knowledge, wisdom, kindness and most of all a smile that could heal the biggest boo boo :). She always held tough through all of our ups and down, our strong moments and our weak. And today I feel her strength in knowing that she is finally able to put down that ladle ( that she fed us all so well with ), and have never ending rest, that she always deserved but NEVER took. As children we grew up living only a number of houses away from her, we had most lunches with her, cookie breaks, and I'm sure I had never been sent to uncle Roy's store by anyone as much as by nan :). My fondest memories of nan starts with all the amazing family dinners she cooked for us at aunt Suzanne's or uncle David's, laughing around the table/coffee table. Another time would be, the time she tried to teach me to nit, with me being left handed, I never did figure it out but we sure gave it a good shot.. lol I also remember, and I'm sure you all do, nan grabbing our ear lobe and saying "oh jelly bird" !! :) My heart is aching in pain, which I have been blessed to have never known before now. I'm sure you all know how much Michelle, David, and I wish we were there for you all. Our thoughts are never a moment away!! Well Nan and pop your finally together! And we are all so happy for that! You can finally rest peacefully and stop worrying because you are now able to watch over each and everyone of us. I love you and will miss you more than words can express! xoxoxooxxooxox Jelly Bird!! Love, Steffie, Austin, Nick and Megan
