RACHEL LILY MOORE
1926 – 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rachel Lily Moore announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on June 8, 2020 at the age of 93. Rachel retired from the Harry’s Harbour Public Library. She was predeceased by her husband Harry; parents, Edward & Selina King; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nellie & Ralph Moore; sister, Nellie Bowers (Leslie); brothers, Charlie (Doris) and Fred (Hazel); sister-in-law, Marion Skanes (Edgar); great grandson, Jordan Moore and 2 dear friends and roommates at Valley Vista, Nellie Burton (who was like a sister to her) and Ivy Newbury. Left with fond and loving memories is her sons-Stephen (Maxine) of Harry’s Harbour, Maurice (Joanne) of Lively, ON, Philip (Ann) of Harry’s Harbour; daughters-Linda (Chesley) of Kelowna, BC, Una (Carl) of Harry’s Harbour and Sandra (Kevin) of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Also leaving to mourn is her brother-in-law Eric (Betty); daughter-in-law Teresa;15 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren, good friend and roommate at Valley Vista-Joan Sheppard as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Glenda Hale will conduct the funeral service from Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on Friday, June 12, 2020 . Interment will be at the cemetery in Harry’s Harbour. Pallbearers are Kelsie Moore, Mark Hann, Chris Moore, Connie Shiner, Jackie Knight, Katie Knight and Todd Moore. Special thanks to the staff at the Valley Vista Seniors Home for the excellent care they gave Mom. She loved them all like family. Flowers are being graciously accepted or in lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Valley Vista Recreation Center. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
