Dear Sharon & Family, So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I regret getting the news too late to attend the funeral but feel that it was somewhat appropriate to hear about it at St. James' Church this morning. Your parents (and you) were solid members there, particularly your Dad as a Lay Reader. I have no doubt in my mind that Stella and Tom Blackmore were at the top of the list of "most positive influences" in my life. Mrs. Blackmore was my teacher for the seventh grade, and J.T. my teacher for three years of High School (all subjects!). They were both superb teachers who had the deepest respect of their students. I came to regard them as my friends in later years, but never did lose that degree of respect I had as a student. Thank you for the obituary photo, Sharon.
